my heart woes when the moon is low

whenever i stay awake late into the night, i always feel this inspiration to write, or think about my future and where God wants me to go.

hence why i am writing in this sucker blog.

i'm currently listening to Brightwood-Swan Song (LISTEN TO IT!)

but lately w/ my band not being active (it's been about a month now)
i've been working on some new material and for once i feel like my band is growing w/ fans.
we've been struggling w/ alot of issues as a band, as friends and that information will be disclosed in a few months from now. It's hard, it's always hard to keep the communication lines free and open b/w friends.
i feel like we're understanding what it means to be a band and are learning what our roles are, besides banging away on our instruments and doing what we enjoy the most.

i feel like i've grown so much over the span of a year (and still learning)
i've only been playing electric guitar for 2 years. i didn't know anything (still dont)
but over the past two years i have learned ways to write music w/o the basic and constant strumming of an acoustic guitar. i remember i didn't think my voice would sound good w/ an electric guitar behind me.

i can't believe i was in this dashboard confessional phase for so long (yeah, i said it, i like DC)
but i'm glad i got out of that acoustic emo genre quick, cause i'm really digging what my band and i have to offer.

i love music, I LOVE MUSIC, if music was a woman i would love her.
PRAISE GOD FOR THE GIFT OF MUSIC, because if i didn't have this ability to express myself through song, i think i'd blow up. if i could do music as a career, i would be the happiest man alive. having the opportunity to do something i love, and expressing myself through this passion. man there's no other job that could be better. i can't see myself as a doctor, or an engineer or a scientist. i can only see myself either writing music, recording music, or performing music. i could talk about music 24/7 and never grow weary.

the best part about music is that you get to travel.
i love to travel. touring this past summer was amazing. thanks to friends and family friends.
i would love to tour around the country and hopefully the world doing what i love. i just pray God will give me opportunities to. we shall see. hopefully a few more years.

the greatest thing i have learned from all of this is patience.
w/ ppl, my muse that every so often speaks through me, life, love. so much.

i believe God has given me this gift and this passion for music. i will give him glory. ALL THAT I CAN GIVE. it's His. not mine, because this life is not what i can call my own.

my mission with my music is: to reach out, and encourage people who do not have Christ, and show them Jesus through my actions,  words, and the way i live.  i want to challenge people i meet at shows, show them that I LOVE GOD and that God loves them and that they need to love and fear  Him b/c he is our creator and Lord. it kills me whenever i see teenagers who desperately need Christ but run to music as their support and comfort for their sins. I want to be the connection to show them that Christ is all they need, not music. (i want to write more but i will stop there for now).

i love God, and through music i am able to express my love for Him.

i am not afraid to praise Him freely.

i pray that everyone can praise God freely. why do we act as if we are tied down by our burdens during praise when we are truly FREE b/c of the blood Christ shed? Why are we afraid to dance and shout his name at the top of our lungs.

I LOVE TO SING TO THE POINT OF LOSING MY VOICE, b/c i feel like i am giving God all i have.
some may think it is unnecessary but it is how i praise. i love praising God. He brings me true joy.

gosh i could write and write about music and how grateful i am. praise God.

praise Him FREELY. do not be afraid or worried. let go of your burdens and give God all the glory.

Soli Deo Gloria.

If you do not know, do not speak but ask.

so much has happened since my last post.

All i can say is that i feel alive, and free.
I am excited for what this new school year has to offer yet petrified of what God may bring me through.

there's so much i want to write, but all i can say is that i will not waver.
